     We urge you to join us in sponsoring a unique, nationally recognized educational program, whose mission it is to show the young people of Michigan the joys of public service first hand. Our goal is that each student receive a 50% scholarship. This allows us to make the program accessible to all students regardless of their financial status. We greatly appreciate your investment in a program that instills the qualities of leadership, loyalty, character and service in our students.

     The Youth in Government program is a very rewarding educational experience, which generates a greater understanding of government and leadership skills. We are particularly encouraged that the program has evoked the enthusiasm and interest of many young people to consider a future career of public service and civic engagement. We are hopeful that you will join us in strengthening our students’ belief in leadership and civil engagement.

     Though the program’s focus is on learning government and the democratic process, our philosophy continues to focus on teaching students about principle centered leadership, with an emphasis on Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
